UTSA marks Earth Day with paper-shredding service
(April 15, 2015) – UTSA's Earth Day Committee has teamed with Environmental Health, Safety & Risk Management (EHSRM) to provide free paper-shredding in observance of Earth Day 2015.
A Shred-Pod sponsored by the Green Fund Committee will be located between the H.E.B. University Center and the Ximenes Garage, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22.
For the Downtown Campus and Institute of Texan Cultures, documents should be boxed, sealed and delivered to the Mail Room in the Durango Building by noon on April 22.
The secure document shredder will accept paper material generated by the UTSA community – both personal and university – including tax forms and other sensitive documents.
Before shredding, UTSA employees should refer to the UTSA Records Retention Schedule to learn which documents can and cannot be destroyed.
For questions about the EHSRM Earth Day program, contact Richard Garza at (210) 458-5808 or Anastacio Alvarez at (210) 452-7252.
