(April 9, 2015) -- UTSA will host its annual NIUTSA pre-Fiesta event and concert from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 11 in the Frio Street Building Commons area of the UTSA Downtown Campus. The theme of this year’s NIUTSA is “Game On!”
NIUTSA is a family-friendly event with live music, food and activities, such as face painting, crafts and inflatables, sponsored by the UTSA Office of Student Activities, Roadrunner Productions and Roadrunners Late Night. Student organizations will be on site raising funds through a variety of booths. This is the 16th year that UTSA has hosted the free, public event.
In honor of this year’s theme, NIUTSA will feature a 44-player video game trailer from Games2U on which visitors will be able to play a variety of video games, and a video game themed costume contest. Members of UTSA bands will also perform live renditions of popular video game themes in front of a large screen on which images of the game will be displayed.
