UTSA photo of the day: RAs move to the beat on Move-in Days
(Aug. 17, 2015) — USometimes you just have to surrender to the rhythm. These Resident Assistants, Brittany Obinyan (left), Chris Weinstein (center) and Melanie Spiller (right), didn’t let the heat get them down as new and returning Roadrunners moved in to residence halls on Friday.
It was a busy day as RAs, including these three, pushed big blue bins full of students’ belongings to their new rooms and handed out water and popsicles to help Roadrunners and their families beat the heat. For her part, Obinyan carried a small speaker hooked up to her iPod everywhere she went to keep spirits high, dancing down the halls in her orange and blue as she answered questions and gave directions.
Move-in days continued on Saturday and Sunday, kicking off Roadrunner Days, a week of events to welcome students to campus as they experience UTSA culture for this first time. Check out the full schedule of events here.
