UTSA Photo of the Day: Exploring the VizWall

(Sept. 8, 2015) — A picture might be worth a thousand words, but how much more is it worth when you can see every brush stroke? The VizLab’s Ultra High Definition Wall, or just “VizWall,” is 14.4 feet wide and 6 feet tall, with 24 high definition monitors with a display of up to 98 million-pixel resolution. Researchers across multiple disciplines use the wall for everything from transferring data to images on a large scale to getting a closer look at art pieces that are an ocean away.
