(Nov. 2, 2015) -- The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is celebrating its annual Homecoming Week with a slate of free, public events and contests promoting university spirit. This year’s theme is “Rowdy Around the World,” chosen by students in honor of UTSA’s global impact.

Homecoming is an annual celebration of what it means to be a Roadrunner. The UTSA community is invited to take part and celebrate the university’s growth, connect with other university supporters, and take part in time-honored traditions. The festivities lead up to this year’s Homecoming football game against Old Dominion University and the recognition of the Homecoming Court on Saturday, Nov. 7.

This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the Mr. and Ms. UTSA program, which was founded in 1985. In honor of this anniversary, Mr. and Ms. UTSA title holders from years past, including the first-ever Mr. and Ms. UTSA Wayne Terry and Patricia DeBerry, and the 2015-2016 Mr. and Ms. UTSA will be recognized at the Nov. 7 game. Voting for the 2015-2016 Mr. and Ms. UTSA is Nov. 3-4 through ASAP.
