UTSA Student Government Association installs new officers for 2016-2017

(April 13, 2016) -- The UTSA Student Government Association (SGA) has installed its new officers and administration. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the SGA.

Andrew Hubbard, a junior finance major from San Antonio, will serve as the SGA president for the 2016-2017 academic year. He previously served the past year as SGA chief of staff.

William ‘Frankie’ Trynoski, II,
was elected vice president. Trynoski is a junior political science major from Kyle, Texas.

Students elected Colton McDaniel, a sophomore cyber security and information systems double major from Elgin, Texas, as SGA treasurer and Carla Juarez, a freshman accounting major from Jarrell, Texas, as secretary.

The new administration was sworn in during the annual SGA banquet and inauguration ceremony on April 10. Newly elected senators also took office at the event.

The officers will conduct their first SGA meeting at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, April 14 in the University Center Harris Room (2.212) on the Main Campus.
