UTSA Roadrunner Days Schedule: August 19-21

(August 19, 2016) -- It's our favorite time of the year. The official kick-off of UTSA's new academic year, Roadrunner Days, runs Aug. 19-28 at the Main and Downtown campuses.

Roadrunner Days events and activities give students an opportunity to take part in time-honored UTSA traditions and connect students with UTSA resources.

Here's what's going on Friday, Saturday and Sunday:

Residence Hall Move-In
Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., various Residence Halls, Main Campus
Students start the school year by making themselves at home in their residence hall. UTSA staff and student leaders will be on hand to help new Roadrunners move in their belongings. And Move-in Day goes high tech this year; the app Guidebook helps students navigate where to go when they arrive on campus.

Welcome Back Reception
Friday, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m., University Center Paseo, Main Campus
Roadrunners, their parents and guests are invited to come see what UTSA life is all about during this free event. A big thanks to H-E-B and AT&T for sponsoring this year's exciting event, which includes giveaways for the first 1,000 guests.

Spirit of San Antonio Premiere Performance

Get jazzed up for a UTSA tradition like no other. The Spirit of San Antonio (SOSA), UTSA's Marching Band, will offer a debut performance to get everyone on the Paseo pumped for the new school year. Campus Recreation's 13th Annual Late Night at the Rec is a UTSA tradition that transforms a standard information session into an exciting night of fun.
