UTSA offers some helpful tips and guidelines for move-in days

TITLE

(Aug. 17, 2016) -- Move-in days for Roadrunners are set to begin on Friday, August 19 and continue through Saturday, August 20. Here are a few tips and guidelines to make sure everything goes smoothly:

• Move-in hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Remember to bring your UTSA ID so you can check into your room.

• Be sure to download the UTSA Move-In Guidebook for your smartphone or tablet here and the Housing and Residence Life Move-in Packet here.

• Also take a look at this list of what to bring and what not to bring to your residence hall.

• Go directly to the unloading area for your assigned residence hall.

• Next, check-in at the front office area to get your UTSA ID card coded for your door.

• Watch for move-in volunteers pushing big blue carts. They’ll help unload vehicles quickly so they can be moved to long-term parking.

Move-in days are the official kick off of Roadrunner Days, which runs August 19 to 28, introduces new students to UTSA traditions and connects them with university resources. After you get settled in throw on that orange and blue and get ready to celebrate. The Welcome Back Reception begins Friday at 7 p.m. at the University Center Paseo and will feature a performance by the internationally recognized Spirit of San Antonio, UTSA’s marching band. Also, be sure to check out the games, bouncy castles, rock-climbing walls, free food and much more at Late Night at the Rec on Saturday night at 9 p.m.
