Roadrunners welcome North Texas to the Alamodome for a C-USA showdown

UTSA goes for a new winning streak over the Mean Green


(Oct. 26, 2016) — The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is looking to bounce back from a five-overtime battle as the 'Runners take on C-USA foe University of North Texas (UNT) this Saturday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. Fans are encouraged to fill the Alamodome with orange and blue in support of the Roadrunner football team. There are plenty of game day events to get fans pumped for the game.

UTSA Football Game Day Oct. 29 schedule:

  • Parking Lots opens at 8 a.m.
  • Rowdy Town - 3 p.m. – Located in Sunset Station and on the VIA Bridge north of the Alamodome. Rowdy Town is completely free and Roadrunners of all ages can take part in pregame festivities.
  • Spirit Walk - 3:45 p.m. -- Fans line Roadrunner Alley, located between Alamodome Lots B and C, to cheer on the players and coaches, cheerleaders, marching band and Rowdy, as they march into the Alamodome.
  • Kickoff - 6 p.m.

UTSA Alumni Tailgate (Pre-game)

Sunset Station
Tailgating is a time-honored tradition at football games. The UTSA Alumni Association and San Antonio Credit Union invite fans to experience what they calling "the best alumni tailgate around." Need a lift to the go?
There are several ways to get to the stadium without worrying about parking. Buy VIA bus tokens at Roadrunner Express on the U.C. Paseo for $1.25 each way. Get your tickets
UTSA students are eligible for free admission to all UTSA games. Students may also purchase up to four guest tickets at $10 per ticket for seating in the student section. Additionally, tickets can be purchased by calling 210-458-8872 (UTSA), and the Alamodome's Southwest Box Office will open at 10 a.m. on Friday for ticket sales.

UTSA to auction "Black Bird" football jerseys and helmets

UTSA's Roadrunner Athletic Fund will hold an auction for 113 authentic game-issued jerseys and six game-worn helmets from the "Black Bird" uniform combination that the Roadrunners will wear for Saturday's Conference USA contest against North Texas at the Alamodome.

The auction will be conducted online only at goUTSA.com/auctions beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, and it will be broken into three phases. All proceeds will benefit the UTSA football program and the Roadrunner Athletic Fund.
