Coffee with the President series comes to UTSA Downtown Campus on April 6
(March 31, 2017) -- University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Interim President Pedro Reyes wants to meet more UTSA students, faculty and staff. He is hosting a second 'Coffee with the President,' this time on the UTSA Downtown Campus, on Thursday, April 6 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Buena Vista Street Building Assembly Room (BVB 1.338).
Reyes held the first 'Coffee with the President' earlier this month on the Main Campus. During the casual event at the University Center Ski Lodge, the UTSA community asked the interim president questions and shared ideas to advance the university. Reyes spoke about UTSA's student success initiatives, graduation and retention rates, top-tier research programs and budget. He also shared insight about his first few weeks at UTSA and his professional experience prior to joining UTSA.
"I enjoyed meeting more students, faculty and staff and learning their needs and visions for UTSA," said Reyes. "I look forward to additional conversations with my fellow Roadrunners."
Seating is limited to the first 50 guests, and the president's office will provide complimentary coffee.
Attendees can RSVP on Dr. Reyes' Facebook page.
Reyes plans to hold the 'Coffee with the President' series every few weeks. Look for schedule updates on Facebook and on UTSA Today.
