Discover, build and get active at UTSA Spring Break camps
(March 8, 2017) -- Children and teens across the San Antonio area can learn and have fun at the same time over spring break. The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is hosting more than a dozen Spring Break camps geared toward future scientists, engineers, archaeologists and athletes.
Campers will spend quality time with UTSA's top-tier faculty, staff and students. While at UTSA, they'll also meet new friends who share similar tastes and passions.
UTSA is offering the following camps, March 13-17:
iTEC Camps
Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., UTSA Main and Downtown Campuses
The UTSA College of Engineering's Interactive Technology Experience Center (iTEC) offers students in kindergarten through sixth grade camps in robotics, forensics, life science, electrical engineering and space science. Campers will participate in hands-on activities that are sure to get them interested in fields of science, technology, engineering and math.
Spring Break Archaeology Camp
Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., UTSA Main Campus
Dig into history at the UTSA Center for Archaeological Research, where campers will learn to use real archaeological tools and methods. Children ages 9 through 13 will engage in archaeology themed activities, games, crafts and get a hands-on look at artifacts during a tour of a UTSA archaeology lab.
Spring Break Youth Baseball Camp
Monday, 8 a.m – 9 a.m. and Tuesday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Roadrunner Field, UTSA Main Campus
This baseball camp is designed to help youth players, ages 5 through 14, get ready for the spring baseball season. Campers will work with Roadrunner coaches and players to improve their hitting, throwing and catching skills through specific drills and lectures. Campers will also get a free ticket to watch the Roadrunners in action on the diamond March 24.

UTSA Southwest CampusJoin the PEACE Center and Wellbeing Services for Denim Day, a day of learning about the importance of consent and why we wear denim on the last Wednesday of the month each April during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Stop by our Denim Day display to take a photo in front of our Denim Wall, spin the "Is It Consent?" Wheel, and get a Concha or goodie.
