UTSA Football Fiesta Spring Game kicks off Saturday

7th annual spring game is free and open to the public

(April 12, 2017) -- The seventh annual UTSA Football Fiesta Spring Game presented by HealthTexas Medical Group will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, at Dub Farris Stadium located at 8400 North Loop 1604 West.

Admission and parking are free and gates to the stadium will open at 11 a.m.

Free bus transportation for UTSA students will be provided every 20 minutes from 11:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. in front of the Convocation Center. The return buses will run every 20 minutes from 3 to 4:20 p.m. at Dub Farris Stadium.

Fans are asked to enter the stadium through the gates on the west side of the facility and fill that side of the stadium first. Concessions will be available inside the stadium.

Tailgating is restricted to non-alcoholic beverages and no heating elements will be allowed in the parking lots.

Free family-friendly events such as face painting, inflatables and cornhole will be located near the main entrance to the facility from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Health Texas will be on site with free giveaways along with items from Corner Store and McDonald's that will be available (while supplies last) at the UTSA Marketing table.

Fans can listen to a live broadcast of the game beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Ticket 760 AM in the San Antonio area, online or with the free iHeartRadio app. Live stats will be provided here.

The game will pit the Orange (offense) against the White (defense) using a modified scoring system:

The Spring Game will mark the conclusion of UTSA's spring season of 15 workouts.

The Roadrunners will open their seventh season of play and second under head coach Frank Wilson on Saturday, Sept. 2, when they host Houston at the Alamodome. Season tickets are on sale by calling 210-458-UTSA (8872) or visiting GoUTSA.
