UTSA releases Spring 2019 Commencement dates

(Feb. 19, 2019) -- The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) has announced the dates for its Spring 2019 Commencement ceremonies. In this defining moment of their academic journey, more than 5,000 UTSA students will be eligible to receive their degrees in one of three ceremonies scheduled on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 at the Alamodome.

UTSA's first spring Commencement ceremony begins at 10 a.m., May 18 and honors graduates from the College of Liberal and Fine Arts and University College. 

Students who are earning a degree from the College of Architecture, Construction and Planning, College of Business and College of Engineering will cross the stage on May 18 at 4 p.m.

The third ceremony, scheduled at 2 p.m. on May 19, will recognize graduates from the College of Education and Human Development, College of Sciences and College of Public Policy.

To prepare for Commencement, graduates should attend Grad Fest to obtain important information about the ceremony and life after UTSA. At the event, graduates can order their cap and gown and other Commencement-related items, win prizes and capture lasting memories with fellow Roadrunners at a fun selfie station.

Main Campus Grad Fest
Monday, March 18, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
H-E-B Student Union Ballrooms (HSU 1.104/1.106)

Downtown Campus Grad Fest

Tuesday, March 19, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Buena Vista Street Building, Meeting Assembly Room (BVB 1.338)

UTSA class rings are also available to 2019 graduates. One of UTSA's most unique traditions, the rings sleep in the Alamo before the Ring Ceremony, when students receive this lasting symbol in front of their families and friends.

UTSA is recognized as one of the top five young universities in the nation by Times Higher Education.
