Public Relations Group Organizes Run
to Support Animal Defense League

The UTSA student chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America will present the PETCO Animal Tracks 5K Run/Walk at 9 a.m. April 14 on the 1604 Campus in Parking Lot 5 to benefit the Animal Defense League. Celebrity guest of honor will be Henry Cisneros.

The event is open to the public and their pets. Proceeds will directly benefit the Animal Defense League's "Animals In Crisis" program, Humane Education Programs for schools, clubs, and civic groups and other programs. The event is being coordinated by UTSA students and PRSSA members in conjunction with a class taught by faculty member Joseph Massey.

Runners and volunteers are needed for the event. Early-registration runner entry fees are: UTSA students, $10; UTSA student groups of five or more, $8 per runner; non-UTSA students, $15; non-UTSA student groups of five or more, $12 per runner. Early registration ends April 11. On race day, a $5 per-entry fee will be added. Registration begins at 8 a.m. on race day.
