UTSA Alumni Association Names New Board Members
(August 13, 2001)--The University of Texas at San Antonio Alumni Association announces the appointment of the 2001-2002 Board of Directors, effective Sept. 1, 2001. Individuals elected to this board demonstrate involvement, support and commitment to the UTSA and the Alumni Association.
"We are fortunate to have a diverse and highly committed group of board members. Each brings unique talents to the leadership of the Alumni Association, and each has demonstrated the highest level of loyalty to UTSA," said Jane Findling, director of Alumni Affairs.
The officers of Alumni Affairs are Rene Escobedo, president; Jim Mickey, vice-president; Clay Killinger, treasurer; Lisette Murray and Albert Estrada, executive committee members-at-large.
The Alumni Affairs Board of Directors are Tim Chapman, principal software engineer, Fidelity Investments; Loretta Clarke, professional presenter/writer; Pat Clynes, transportation representative, BP Energy; Linda Foster, principal, Alamo Heights High School; Shawn Franke, vice president, Lundy & Franke Engineering; John Hill, president/CEO, Concepts for Creation Technology Innovations; Rick Keeler, partner, Marmon Mok; Larisa Langley, marketing coordinator, Lockwood, Andrews & Newman Inc.; Bob Lengel, associate dean for executive education and director of the Center for Professional Excellence, UTSA; Rick Montemayor, physician; Linda Montgomery, owner, Dominion Foods; Sydney Muenster, retired; Todd Rathbun, president, Student Government Association; Carole Ross; Todd Scrimpsher, A. Todd Scrimpsher Architecture; Brian Tramontano, vice president, Merrill Lynch Private Client Group; Alicia C. Trevino, principal architect, Interior Design, Davis, Durand-Hollis, Rupe Architects; Tom Vaello, president, Right Images, Inc.; and Toni Van Buren, director of public policy, United Way of San Antonio.
The UTSA Alumni Association was chartered in 1978 and has approximately 4,000 members. The mission of the UTSA Alumni Association is to strengthen ties between the university and its past, present and future students, and the community, in order to promote and support programs and initiatives that advance academic excellence..
