Local Businesses Sponsor Second Annual Week of Welcome
(Aug. 20, 2001)--The University of Texas at San Antonio announces Papa John's
Pizza, Rudy's Country Store & Bar-B-Q, Pepsi, McDonald's and Barnes &
Noble Campus Bookstore will sponsor the second annual Week of Welcome.
Students returning to campus the week of August 23-30 will be greeted with
a flurry of welcome activity. With a slated event schedule, UTSA Director
of Student Leadership and Cultural Programs Michelle Lopez is grateful to
this year's sponsors.
"These sponsors took advantage of a wonderful opportunity to help the
community and be a part of Roadrunner spirit on our campuses. We are greatly
appreciative for their willingness to donate their time, product and service
to welcome student's back to campus and be a presence at our annual kick-off!"
