Teaching and Learning Center Hosting Two Events The Teaching and Learning Center will host two workshops for UTSA faculty and staff members. Guy Bailey, provost and vice president for academic affairs, will present "Moving UTSA to Research Status: Some Implications for Teaching" from noon-1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19 in the University Room in the Business Building. Bailey will discuss ways in which UTSA's move to research status will impact both individual faculty and the institution as a whole. In addition, the Teaching and Learning Center continues their Teaching and Learning Circle Series from noon-1:30 p.m. Jan. 26 in the Denman Room (4.02.12) in the John Peace Library Building. Newcomers are welcome at this on-going, informal, monthly workshop focused on improving student motivation to learn. The text is "Teaching Tips" by Wilbert McKeachie. Copies will be available for those who don't have this text. Registration for both workshops is required. Call 458-4050 or register on the TLC Web site.
