Photo Gallery from UTSA Weekend Activities
UTSA's
campuses were bustling with activity this past weekend. On Friday, March
2 the UTSA Downtown Campus hosted the Read Across America Day. The event
featured UTSA faculty and staff, media personalities and elected officials
reading selections from Dr. Seuss to elementary children.
The event
was sponsored by the university's America Reads tutoring program in
conjunction with the San Antonio Commission on Reading.
In
addition
the annual Walk for Women's Athletics was held Saturday, March 3 in
the Convocation Center due to inclement weather conditions.
The event supports scholarships for UTSA's NCAA Division I women's athletic
program. Over the last 12 years, about 7,000 persons have taken part,
raising nearly $400,000.
