UTSA Music Division Hosts Flute Camp Concert

The University of Texas at San Antonio’s Division of Music will host a Flute Camp Concert at 3 p.m. Friday, June 22 in the UTSA Recital Hall on the 1604 Campus. Concert performers include an All-Star Flute Choir comprised of area middle school and high school flutists who attended a week-long Flute Camp held earlier in the week.

The program will consist of both transcriptions of orchestral music and original compositions for the flute choir, featuring the alto and bass flutes along with the piccolo and flutes.

The concert is the culmination of a week’s worth of rehearsals for the flutists performing. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, call Rita Linard at (210) 458-5684.
