UTSA Interim Engineering Dean Will Teach In China as Fulbright Lecturer

Dwight Henderson, interim dean of engineering, will be traveling to Shanghai, China next year to teach as a Fulbright Lecturer for the spring semester of the 2001-02 academic year.

Henderson received notification last week by way of an official letter from East China Normal University in Shanghai. As a lecturer in China, Henderson will teach three courses, one in general U.S. History, another in U.S. higher education administration and one on the environmental history of the United States.

The Fulbright Program in China is administered by the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, in cooperation with the Chinese Minstry of Education.

The appointment is the second in Henderson's teaching career. He previously spent five months in Germany in the spring of 1993.
