All Medical Coverage Will Change for Coming Fiscal Year
Human Resources reminds all benefits-eligible employees that Annual Enrollment for 2001-2002 will be July 1-31. There will be significant changes in insurance coverage for next year, and effective Sept. 1, all medical plans will change. Employees and retirees currently enrolled in one of UTSA's medical plans this fiscal year will automatically default to the new UT Select Plan, if no medical plan election is made during annual enrollment.
Changes made during annual enrollment will become effective Sept. 1. For more information, visit UTSA Benefits' Web site: http://www.utsa.edu/Benefits/benefits.htm. (From Benefits Web site, click on "Annual Enrollment".) As soon as plan benefit summaries, premium sharing amounts and medical and dental rates are finalized, this information will be added to the site.
Department administrators are asked to print and distribute this information to any staff or faculty member not on the Microsoft Outlook mail system.
Faculty members who will be away from the San Antonio area and will not have access to the Internet or the UT Touch 800 number (1-800-UT Touch) during the month of July should contact a benefits representative in Human Resources at 458-4250 or benefits@utsa.edu as soon as possible.
