Classic coming-of-age play to be presented at UTSA

(Nov. 2, 2001)--"Picnic," the classic William Inge play about coming of age in America, will be presented by the Alamo City Actors Guild at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8-9, 3:30 p.m. Nov. 10 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14-16 at the Buena Vista Street Building Theater at the UTSA Downtown Campus, 501 Durango Street.

"Although the play is set in the 1950s, the relationships and conflicts are the same for people as they grow up, no matter what the era," said Jennifer Schultz, ACAG public relations representative.

"We do a production every semester," said Schultz. "We have existed for 15 years, and we're a group of motivated students who want to keep theater alive on campus."

Tickets are available for $5 (general admission) and $4 (students with ID) at the University Center ticket office, 1604 Campus, or at the door.

For more information call Jennifer Schultz or Chris Scheel at (210) 313-8310.
