
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Week continues through Oct. 12
(Oct. 9, 2001)--UTSA Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Week continues through Oct. 12 at the 1604 and Downtown campuses. Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the events. The schedule of remaining events is listed below.
Events will include an information fair, presentations, jazz under the stars and a drag show. Community activist Dan Castor will present Gay 101 on Friday, Oct. 12. Dorothy Mathis, Laurel Heights Clinic outreach health educator, will present information on HIV/AIDS and other STD prevention on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
Information fairs at the 1604 and Downtown campuses will include representatives from Laurel Heights Clinic, Rape Crisis Center, Black Effort Against AIDS, Hispanic Aids Committee, AIDS Resource Center, Metropolitan Community Church and San Antonio Equal Rights Political Caucus.
The week is sponsored by UTSA Lambda Alliance, Office of Multicultural Programs, Campus Advisory Board and FACT.
