Local students invited to Oct. 20 college preparation workshops
(Oct. 19, 2001)--Free workshops to help prepare local middle and high school students for college will be held Saturday, Oct. 20 at the UTSA Downtown Campus, Buena Vista Street Building Room 1.328.
Sponsored by the Alamo Area Student Intervention Alliance, the free workshops will address topics such as preparing for college in middle school; mechanics of college applications; being a first-generation college student; and writing college essays. Current college students will offer their tips for success.
Registration will be 9-9:30 a.m., and workshops will be 9:30-11:30 a.m.
