Two job fairs offer opportunities for UTSA students

(Sept. 19, 2001)--The UTSA College of Education and Human Development Academic Advising/Teacher Certification Center is sponsoring an educator job fair from 12:30-3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26 on the 1604 Campus in the Convocation Center. Representatives from more than 70 school districts in Texas and other states will be on hand recruiting for their institutions. All local educators and UTSA students, faculty, staff and alumni are welcome. For more information about the educator job fair, call (210) 458-4424.

The second job fair of the week, the fall career fair sponsored by career services, is for all UTSA students and alumni, especially seniors who will graduate this year. More than 100 employers are expected to attend the fair, which will be 9:30 a.m -3:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27 at the 1604 Campus in the Convocation Center.

Professional attire is recommended for both job fairs.

Career services is also currently holding workshops on such topics as developing a professional resume and interviewing techniques, to help participants make the most of the career fair experience.
