Latino Heritage Week continues through Sept. 21 at UTSA

(Sept. 17, 2001)--Latino Heritage Week continues through Sept. 21 at the 1604 and Downtown Campuses. A veterans display was presented Friday at the Downtown Campus Frio Street Building Commons Area, while the "Diez y Seis" parade scheduled for Sat., Sept. 15, was cancelled due to the week's tragic events.

Events include a talk by writer Cecilia Balli titled "It's Not All About Music No More: Interethnic Conflict and Compromise in the Regional Mexican Music Industry" at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 17, at the Downtown Campus Buena Vista Building Room 1.338. The speech is cosponsored by the UTSA Division of Bicultural Bilingual Studies and the Guadalupe Cultural Center.

Other events include the "Mi Familia, Mi Cultura" family photo display at the Downtown Campus Sept. 17-19, and the "Latino Cultural Expressions Through Art" exhibit in the Frio Street Building Multipurpose Room at the Downtown Campus Sept. 18-19.

12-1 p.m. -- Meet and Greet the Artists -- Luis Guerrero, Ben Mata, Luis Valderas, Vincent Valdez, Mujer Artes, Cruz Ortiz, Frio Street Building Room 1.402.

Wednesday, September 19
