Local students, parents invited to college test preparation workshops
(Sept. 6, 2001)--Free workshops to help prepare local middle and high school students for college will be held Saturday, Sept. 8 at the UTSA Downtown Campus, Buena Vista Street Building Room 1.328.
Sponsored by the Alamo Area Student Intervention Alliance, the free workshops
will cover tests required for college-bound students, including the new TAAS.
Participants can take a session on verbal and mathematics test-taking strategies,
and current college students will offer their tips for success.
Parents are also invited to the workshops. Registration will be 9-9:30 a.m.,
and workshops will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. For more information, call the UTSA
