"Mystical Arts of Tibet" Concludes Labor Day at ITC

(Aug. 31, 2001)--If you haven't visited the Institute of Texan Cultures to view "The Mystical Arts of Tibet," the Labor Day holiday weekend is the perfect time to do so, and it is also your last chance. The exhibit closes on Sept. 3. The ITC normally is closed Monday, but Labor Day is the exception due to the special exhibit. Admission is free to faculty and staff with a valid university ID.

Business has been thriving at the ITC Tibetan Treasures Gift Shop and Waterfront Cafe, both of which were set up especially for "The Mystical Arts of Tibet" exhibit. The gift shop includes many one-of-kind sterling jewelry pieces made by Tibetans in exile, books, CDs, T-shirts, incense, pillows and dozens of other exhibit-related items. Snacks are also available in the gift shop.

Members of the Tri-Campus community with a valid university ID receive discounts on the merchandise in both the Tibet shop, which is located adjacent to the exhibit in the Lower Gallery, and in the ITC Store, located on the main Exhibit Floor.
