University Communications to send hometown news for December grads
(Dec. 6, 2001)--If you are a commencement candidate for December 2001, undergraduate or graduate, and would like a news release about your graduation sent to your hometown paper (excluding the San Antonio Express-News), please e-mail the following information by Friday, Dec. 21, 2001, to UTSAtoday@utsa.edu:
-- full name as you wish it to appear
-- degree, major and college (if graduate degree, include undergraduate degree
information, institution)
-- honors from UTSA
-- career plans
-- hometown name
-- names of immediate relatives you wish to mention (parents, spouse)
-- name and mailing or e-mail address of hometown paper
If you would like to submit a black-and-white glossy photo to go with your release, please deliver the print, no larger than a 5x7, with a typed name label affixed to the back, to the Office of University Communications.
The 1604 Campus location is in John Peace Library Building Room 4.02.10.
At the Downtown Campus, the office is located in Buena Vista Street Building Suite 1.302 (disability services/testing services). In the suite, there will be a collection box for the photos marked "commencement news releases."
NOTE: For several years, the San Antonio Express-News has published the names of all UTSA commencement candidates, regardless of hometown, in either its print version or on-line via www.sa360.com. Due to the numbers involved, the Express-News cannot print individual commencement news releases for all San Antonians.
