Publications office announces new online resources
(Dec. 17, 2001)--The Office of University Publications has created a new Web site to describe and explain its services to clients and potential clients within the UTSA community. The site describes the range of services offered by the staff of designers, editors and photographers.
"We hope this new Web site will be of assistance to the university community in providing information on the services offered by the publication's office," said Elton Smith, director.

Visitors to the site will find:
-- information on how to plan a publication and the process of getting a publication from idea to print
-- a publication planning worksheet that clients can submit electronically to the publications office. This worksheet will tell the publications office what kind of publication is neede -- and will help the client define the audience, goals and budget of the publication
-- the university's comprehensive editorial style guide, as well as guides to the correct use of university logos and trademarks
-- a link for online ordering of standard printed forms (such as stationery and business cards)
-- an overview of the kinds of photos, the process for scheduling a photographer and the costs of photographic, editorial and design services
-- a link for Frequently Asked Questions about the publications process
-- a portfolio that illustrates the variety and quality of recent work
