Construction Begins July 10 on ADA-Compliant Walkway at Downtown Campus
Beginning Tuesday, July 10, construction will begin on a walkway that will
be available for people with disabilities moving between the west end of the
Frio Street and Buena Vista buildings. The walkway will meet guidelines of
the Americans With Disabilities Act.
During construction, first-level access between these two buildings will be
closed at the Frio Street Building 1.400 corridor entry door near the Riklin
Auditorium, and at the Buena Vista Street Building 1.300B corridor entry door
near the Tomas Rivera Center.
Pedestrians should use alternate first-level routes between these buildings.
Alternate routes are located through the Frio Street east-end Food Court/Commons
area and through the Buena Vista east-end main entrance. The second, third
and fourth-level connecting bridges between these two buildings will not be
affected. Construction should be completed by August.
