State Farm Establishes Six College of Business Scholarships
State Farm donated $12,000 to UTSA's College of Business to fund the State Farm Insurance Business Scholarships. The six scholarships will be awarded for the 2001-2002 academic year. Paul McClain, human resources manager for the South Texas region, presented the check to College of Business Dean Bruce Bublitz."The support of our corporate friends such as State Farm provides a vital service to our students," said Bublitz. "Six students will now realize their dreams of obtaining a college education thanks to their gift."
In addition to financial support, State Farm has partnered with UTSA to recruit students and is committed to providing professional development opportunities. State Farm, a long-time supporter of scholarships at UTSA, has grown into the largest insurer of autos and homes in the United States.
