Seven Department Chairs Named In The College Of Business

Seven department chairs from the University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business have recently been appointed.

The appointments are Sandra Welch, accounting; Lila Truett, economics; Keith Fairchild, finance; Glenn Dietrich, information systems; Dennis Duchon, management; Jerome Keating, management science and statistics; and Joel Saegert, marketing.

"This is a time of transition for both the college and the university, and I anticipate a gradual transition for these new chairs over the summer," said Bruce Bublitz, dean of the College of Business.

Appointments are effective Sept. 1. Based on a random drawing, the chairs will be divided into two groups with the first serving a three-year term and the second serving for four years. Subsequent appointments of chairs will be for three years.

UTSA’s College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. It is one of the 40 largest business schools in the nation with more than 4,400 enrolled students and 34 different graduate and undergraduate business programs.
