Two Changes At Downtown Campus Related To Completion Of Durango Building

Beginning Monday, June 11, a temporary sidewalk will open along Durango Boulevard to allow for construction of the new Durango Building's south entrance. Pedestrians will be routed along this temporary sidewalk for approximately seven to 10 days.

Beginning Tuesday, June 12, the three designated Disabled parking spaces located at the corner of Durango Boulevard and Frio Street will be discontinued. The closures are due to an increase in tractor-trailer arrivals delivering furnishings and equipment for the Durango Building and other final construction activities at the site.

There are 15 Disabled (van accessible) parking spaces located near the pedestrian crossing in the Durango Loop parking lot. Also, there are 23 Disabled parking spaces available in the UTSA under IH 10/35 parking lot 5 south of Durango Boulevard.

UTSA shuttles operate between the Frio Street Building and the under IH 10/35 parking lots and are equipped with ADA wheelchair lifts.Additionally, the Downtown Campus parking garage, scheduled to open this fall, will contain eight designated Disabled spaces.
