Counseling Services To Sponsor Discussion On Hate Speech

"Can We All Just Get Along?," an interactive workshop on anti-gay hate speech on college campuses, will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. June 6 on the 1604 Campus in the University Center Retama Auditorium.

The presenter will be Paul Siegel, professor of communication studies at Gallaudet University. He has written numerous articles published in law reviews and professional journals as well as books on communication law and political communication. Siegel is a former board member of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and currently sits on the Board of the American Civil Liberties Union in Washington.

His UTSA workshop is based on an article that he wrote for the Journal of Communication Inquiry and has been presented at universities nationwide and for local chapters of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (P-FLAG). All members of the Tri-Campus community are invited to attend. Please RSVP to 458-4140.
