Local Media Personalities speak to UTSA Students
(San Antonio) -- The University of Texas at San Antonio Career Services hosted a "Careers for Creative People within Communication" seminar Oct. 22 at the 1604 Campus in the University Center Laurel Room (UC 2.01.28).Participants met with professionals in the field of communication and discussed various career paths.
Panelists covered areas such as public relations, web page design, print journalism, and radio and television broadcasting. After the presentations, stations were set up for students to meet the panelists and ask questions.
Panelists included Veronica Flores, assistant state editor, San Antonio Express-News; Jacqueline Ortiz, TV reporter, KMOL; Ernie Villareal, reporter/producer, Texas Public Radio; Ramiro Burr, music reporter, San Antonio Express-News; Teresa Nino, director of communications, KellyUSA, Bradley Vinson, freelance graphic artist/web page designer, BV Squared Design.
