(April 26, 2002)--The Sen. Gregory Luna Endowed Scholarship Fund at UTSA has grown by more than $8,800, owing to proceeds from the art auction held at the Downtown Campus and other recent donations. Many of San Antonio's prominent artists donated pieces for the event, which was organized by Letitia Ann Luna, daughter of the late senator.

In the top left photo, Carmen Zapata and Greg Luna, son of the late Sen. Luna, were among the more than 100 guests attending.

In the top right photo, artist and UTSA alumna Diana Rodriguez-Gill (right) and other guests admire some of the works donated for the auction. Rodriguez-Gill created and placed the hearts found throughout the Downtown Campus.
