Bookstore teacher-appreciation event features UTSA professor
(April 3, 2002)--Borders Books & Music is honoring local educators with Teacher Appreciation Days April 5-7 at the three San Antonio store locations. Books by Carolyn Orange, UTSA associate professor of counseling and educational psychology, will be featured during the event.
Orange will sign her books at the Borders store at Huebner Oaks 7-8 p.m. Friday, April 5. She is author of "25 Biggest Mistakes Teachers Make and How to Avoid Them" and "The Quick Reference Guide to Educational Innovations: Practices, Programs, Policies and Philosophies." Refreshments will be provided at the booksigning.
Teachers, including retirees, will receive a 25 percent discount on purchases made at all three Borders stores April 5-7. They can enjoy free pampering at the Huebner Oaks store April 6, including mini-massages from 12-8 p.m., Mary Kay cosmetics demonstrations 2-8 p.m. and live music 7-9 p.m. by pianist Andrew Przybyla. Cosmetics demonstrations will also be offered at the Huebner store 12-8 p.m. April 7.
Borders stores are located at Huebner and I-10, Quarry Market and the Forum.
