UTSA community invited to student services planning broadcast
(April 16, 2002)--The UTSA Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs invites the UTSA Tri-Campus community to attend a PBS satellite broadcast of "Innovation in Planning for Student Services: Models that Blend High Touch with High Tech" from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. April 18 in the Multidisciplinary Studies Building Kiva (Room 2.02.18) on the 1604 Campus.
Part I will address reasons that student services have become a priority; visions for student services -- impact, return on investment and measuring improvements; best practices in Web services -- one-stop centers and process redesign; and blending "high touch" and "high tech."
Part II will cover lessons learned and critical success factors in student service initiatives: planning, human resources, change management, communications and marketing.
Participants may observe the program as a whole, or in part, and are encouraged to bring lunch. To ensure sufficient seating, make a reservation for the program by e-mailing Sarah Russe.
For more information on the presentation, go to the Society for College and University Planning Web site.
