2002 Winter Commencement set for Dec. 14
(Dec. 3, 2002)--More than 2,100 graduation candidates are expected to participate with all three ceremonies broadcast live on Time Warner Cable channel 19. This semester's candidates include recipients of the first doctoral degrees to be awarded in the College of Education and Human Development and the first graduates from UTSA's newly established Honors College.
Keynote speakers for the day are William Morrow, chief executive officer of Grande Communications at 9 a.m., Ana "Cha" Guzman, president of Palo Alto College, at 1 p.m. and Dale Klein, assistant to the secretary of defense for nuclear, chemical and biological defense programs at 5 p.m.
The UTSA Honors College will recognize their first graduating class with a ceremony at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in the Retama Room, University Center on the 1604 Campus.
