UTSA office will send commencement news to hometowns

(Dec. 4, 2002)--UTSA commencement candidates for December 2002 are invited to submit information for a news release to be sent to their hometown papers (excluding the San Antonio Express-News). Candidates should e-mail the following information to UTSA Today by Friday, Dec. 13:

-- full name as you wish it to appear;
-- degree, major and college (if graduate degree, include undergraduate degree information, institution);
-- honors from UTSA;
-- career plans;
-- hometown name;
-- names of immediate relatives you wish to mention (parents, spouse); and
-- name and mailing or e-mail address of hometown paper.

If you would like to submit a black-and-white glossy photo to go with your release, please deliver the print, no larger than 5 inches by 7 inches, with a typed name label affixed to the back, to the Office of University Communications, located in John Peace Library Building Room 4.02.10.

NOTE: For several years, the San Antonio Express-News has published the names of all UTSA commencement candidates in either its print version or online. Due to the numbers involved, the Express-News cannot print individual commencement news releases for all San Antonians.
