
William Morrow
UTSA to award diplomas to more than 2,100 graduates
(Dec. 13, 2002)--William Morrow, chief executive officer of Grande
Communications, is the keynote speaker at the 9 a.m. commencement ceremony
for the College of Business and the College of Engineering Dec. 14 in the
UTSA Convocation Center. The 2002 UTSA Alumnus of the Year, Morrow serves
as a member of UTSA Development Advisory Board and the College of Business
Advisory Council.
Founded in 1999 in San Marcos, Texas, Grande Communications is the largest
provider of bundled broadband services in Texas and continues to build its
deep-fiber network to deliver high-speed Internet access and telephone and
cable television services. The company has raised more than $470 million in
venture capital to expand its Texas markets.
Ana "Cha" Guzman, president of Palo Alto College is the keynote
speaker at the 1 p.m. commencement ceremony for the College of Liberal and
Fine Arts, the College of Public Policy and the School of Architecture.
Dale Klein, U.S. assistant to the secretary of defense for nuclear,
chemical and biological defense programs, will deliver the final keynote address
at the 5 p.m. commencement ceremony for the College of Education and Human
Development and the College of Sciences.
