UTSA real estate professor ranked nationally in publishing

(Dec. 2, 2002)--Ron Rutherford, professor and Elmo J. Burke Jr. Endowed Chair in Building Development in the University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business, was ranked 25th in the country for the number of publications he published in the top three real estate journals.

The study was published in the Journal of Real Estate Literature. Rutherford authored 18 articles in these top journals from 1990-1998.

"Dr. Rutherford has clearly distinguished himself in the field of real estate, and this distinction contributes to the growing research recognition of UTSA’s College of Business," said Donde Plowman, associate dean for graduate studies and research.

Rutherford coordinates the college's construction management program. His research interests include brokerage and agency issues in real estate markets, housing analysis, real estate mutual funds and real estate securitization.
