Indy car-racing expert to speak Feb. 13 at UTSA
(Feb. 8, 2002)--Arthur Ebeling, an expert on Indy car racing, will lecture at UTSA on "Indy Racing and the Effect of Aerodynamics on the Car" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 in Engineering Building Room 2.04.06 on the 1604 Campus.
Ebeling, who has compiled information on Indy cars for nearly 50 years, has seen many developmental changes in the sport and has been involved at various levels of racing from student to professional competition.
He received a B.S. from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology and holds several patents in the control pressure pouring area. Ebeling has broad experience in industry, chemical, steel, foundry and special metals. For the last 18 years, he has served as Midwest director for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
The visit is part of the ASME Distinguished Lecturers Program which provides opportunities for members and guests to meet and listen to outstanding engineering researchers and practitioners.
