Faculty commended for service to students with disabilities

(Feb. 19, 2002)--Fifteen faculty members at the University of Texas at San Antonio have been recognized for their outstanding service to students with disabilities.

They are Linda Collins, Nandini Kannan and Jerome Keating, management science and statistics; James Dykes, psychology; Beth Guajardo,bicultural-bilingual studies; Gary Houston, political science and geography; Jane Lawrence, art and art history; Paul LeBlanc, communication; Judith Looper, interdisciplinary studies; Ghezai Music, chemistry; William Ruff, educational leadership and policy studies; Linda Shepherd, information systems; Richard Utecht, marketing; William Weitzel, English, classics and philosophy; and Mary Lou Zeeman, mathematics.

The group will be honored during a reception at 3 p.m. Feb. 26 in the university's Disability Services office on the 1604 Campus, located in Multidisciplinary Studies Building Room 2.03.18. The public is invited.
