UTSA students asked to participate in housing survey
(Feb. 28, 2002)--The University of Texas at San Antonio wants to improve the quality and availability of housing on campus and seeks student input. Starting today until March 10, students will have the opportunity to complete an online survey that covers a wide range of questions from their current housing status to sample floor plan preferences.
The survey is being conducted by Anderson Strickler, LLC, a consulting firm working with UTSA to conduct a market analysis and student survey about campus housing.
Student participation is anonymous and the information provided will be used in group form only and will not be individually identified in the analysis. Participants will also have the option of registering for a drawing in which Anderson Stickler will award $100 to three randomly selected students who complete the housing survey.
Students can link to the online survey from several of UTSA web pages including the UTSA Roadrunner Shortcuts and the UTSA Today home page.
University of Texas System Board of Regents recently approved a $12 million, 500-bed, 515,000 square feet housing complex for the UTSA campus which is expected to be the first in a four-phase project that will eventually double the school's student housing capacity.
The complex will be built near Chisholm Hall which hold 500-beds and is the only residence hall on campus. About 1500 students also reside in University Oaks, an on-campus apartment complex.
