Downtown Campus summer facilities requests due by Jan. 15
(Jan. 8, 2002)--Vice Provost for the UTSA Downtown Campus Jesse Zapata is requesting that all members of the Tri-Campus community look ahead to summer regarding requests for the use of Downtown Campus facilities.
"Last summer, many UTSA programs used these facilities for a variety of projects, and because many of these events are held annually, we anticipate a similar number of requests or even more for this year," says Zapata. "Concurrently, summer school course offerings will also increase this year, which will limit the number of classrooms available for these extracurricular projects," he adds.
If your office is planning a project that would involve use of Downtown Campus space, Zapata asks that you notify his office by Jan. 15. Please forward information about the nature of the program, space needed (i.e. classroom, meeting room) and the days and times space would be needed.
Zapata emphasizes this will be for planning purposes only, and that prospective users must still follow the established, normal procedures for reserving space. And, per current policy, no space commitments for extracurricular events will be made until the academic schedule is set.
