Maryland hearing-loss researcher to speak Jan. 11 at UTSA
(Jan. 9, 2002)--The UTSA College of Engineering will host a seminar conducted by Janet C. Rutledge, associate dean of the graduate school at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 in Engineering Building Room 2.04.06 on the 1604 Campus. Rutledge, who has done research on hearing loss, will speak on "Preserving Spectral Contrast in Amplitude Compression for Hearing Aids."
In the same venue, Rutledge will meet with any interested faculty and students at 1:30 p.m. to discuss biomedical engineering, math, science and other graduate programs.
Rutledge recently moved from the National Science Foundation to her position at Maryland. Her recent research centers on new types of digital hearing aids.
