July 19 selected as make-up day for class hours lost due to weather

(July 9, 2002)--The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board formula governing minimum contact-hour requirements is not negotiable. This means that the recent rain-related postponements and cancellations at UTSA have created a contact-hour deficit for students in the second summer session and in the 10-week session courses that meet on Monday and Wednesday.

To meet the minimum contact-hour requirements set by the coordinating board, the provost's office announces that Friday, July 19, has been scheduled as the mandatory make-up date for second summer session classes and Monday-Wednesday classes from the 10-week session courses.

These classes, including those scheduled at night, will be held at their assigned times and locations on July 19. Departments will need to be operational until 5 p.m. July 19, as well.

For more information, contact one of the dean's offices.
