UTSA Tri-Campuses close at noon due to weather

(July 2, 2002)--Following briefings with university police and local disaster officials, UTSA President Ricardo Romo has suspended classes today and closed all university offices effective at noon, Tuesday, July 2.

Personnel departing are encouraged to exercise extreme caution while driving and listen to local radio reports for best routes to travel home.

Only essential, emergency-related personnel are asked to remain at the university's campuses.

Unless otherwise noted, the university will resume its regular office schedules Wednesday, July 3. Please monitor (210) 458-SNOW, the UTSA Today Web site and WOAI Radio 1200 AM for the latest information.

Final exams for the first summer session have been rescheduled for Wednesday, July 3. The second summer session has been postponed until Monday, July 8. All ten-week classes will resume Monday, July 8.

Even though the beginning of the second summer session is delayed, second summer session finals will be conducted on the previously scheduled dates.
